Sandhya Shivakumar Clinical Psychologist 5.1 years of Experience

Sandhya Shivakumar is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in Chennai. She has completed her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology, prior to which she has also done double masters- from King’s College London and Women’s Christian College Chennai in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, respectively. She is currently pursuing PhD in the area of children’s mental health focusing on the effect on gadget use on behaviour problems and parent child relationship, parent stress. With a work experience of 5 years, she has been actively engaged in research as well clinical practice. Her primary areas of interest include child mental health, parenting, and working with adults having depression, anxiety and relationship issues. She has completed foundational courses on CBT, ACT and Trauma focused therapy and also reads extensively for continually updating herself in various therapeutic approaches. She is also a Consultant Trainer at Pearson Academy and conducts workshops to get trained in psychometric assessments.
