Refund & Cancellation Policy
At The Mind & Company (MICO), we value the time and commitment of both our clients
and our mental health professionals. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how
refunds and cancellations are handled for therapy sessions, consultations, and other
services booked through our platform.
In general, charges paid by customers are not refundable. However, we will review
each
request on a case-by-case basis and may provide refunds at our discretion. Our
decision on
refund matters shall be final and binding.
1. Session Cancellations by Clients
- 24 hours' notice: Clients may reschedule or cancel a session with at least 24
hours'
advance notice without penalty.
- Less than 24 hours' notice: Cancellations or rescheduling made within less than 24
hours of the scheduled session may be charged in full and are non-refundable.
- No-shows: Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will be
treated
as a completed session and will not be refunded.
2. Cancellations by Therapists / The Mind & Company
- If a therapist or The Mind & Company cancels a session within 24 hours of the
scheduled time, clients will be offered the choice to:

Reschedule the session at no additional cost, or
-
Receive a full refund for the cancelled session.
3. Refunds for Technical Issues
Suppose a session cannot take place due to platform-related technical issues (e.g.,
server failure, payment not processed, therapist unable to connect). In that case,
clients are eligible for a full refund or free rescheduling.
If a session cannot be completed due to technical issues on the client’s side (e.g.,
poor internet or device failure), it will not usually qualify for a refund. However,
rescheduling may be offered at the therapist’s discretion depending on the
circumstances.
4. Packages and Combo Sessions
Sessions purchased as part of a package or combo plan must be used within the
validity period (one year) specified at purchase.
Unused sessions beyond the validity period will not be refunded.
If a therapist becomes unavailable during an active package, MICO will provide
alternative professionals or adjust bookings accordingly. If the pricing of the combo
sessions differs between therapists, the difference will be adjusted at the time of
switching.
If a client purchases a combo plan and wishes to cancel it before the validity period
ends, a refund will not be possible unless there are unforeseen circumstances.
MICO’s decision on refund matters shall be final and binding. However, the client
may switch the combo to another therapist by paying the applicable differential
pricing.
5. Workshops, Webinars, and Events
Cancellations made 7 days prior to the event are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are non-refundable but may be
transferred to another eligible participant with MICO’s approval.
If MICO cancels an event, a full refund will be issued.
6. Processing of Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed to the original mode of payment within 7-10
working days.
Refund timelines may vary depending on the client's bank/payment provider.
7. Non-Refundable Services
The following services are non-refundable once purchased:

Completed therapy sessions or consultations.

Digital products, self-help tools, or downloadable resources.

Subscription-based (combo) services after usage has begun. For more details,
please refer to Section 4: Packages and Combo Sessions.
8. Exceptions
Refunds may be granted on a case-by-case basis in situations involving:

Verified double payments.

Medical emergencies preventing session attendance.
-
Other exceptional circumstances, at MICO's discretion.
